As it happens very often with me, I did get obsessed with Wormlight's latest release, so I decided to get this one a listen too, and I was not disappointed, quite the contrary! It's also a great Swedish DM/BM album, worth every penny and then some! Fast, varied, melodic yet aggressive, a very good precursor of "Nightmother" indeed! Highly recommended!!

As I sat listening to this album for the first time, I cried. It triggered so many emotions I could barely handle it. This is exactly the kind of music which pulls at my heart strings. Incredibly beautiful and epic. Sooo windirish but yet so unique !

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!
